He left the entertainment industry to attend a special undergraduate, work-study program offered by Pacific Telephone, and thereafter spent over 14 years with Pacific Bell and AT&T Long Lines in various sales and marketing roles.

He's provided consulting and management guidance for companies such as Bell South Technologies, Construction Material Suppliers, Genesis Electronics, Red-M Wireless Security, VMX, Centigram, Telecom USA, and MCI. Over the last 16 years, he has spent considerable time supporting firms in the startup, high tech collaboration marketplace and was leading the management sales team that brought Accord Networks from zero to $60 million dollars in 2000. Accord Networks sold for over $350,000,000 after four years of sales development by his team.

In addition to C4 Consulting and Recruiting and Making it Work radio, he writes about the disparity between people and management, manufacturers and customers, and products and markets in the collaboration industry newsletter, TeleSpan.
